Another round granny finished! I did this one in various shades of blue. Loving this granny doily idea that popped into my head. It’s a great way to use up some thread, and it’s a “no brainer” piece to work on while watching TV. I’ve already started my 4th granny doily. Any guesses as to what color(s) I’m using now? I will tell you this…it’s like this one in that it is monotone…all shades of one color. Stay tuned to find out! TFL!

Tweet, Tweet!
This is what I did in my spare time yesterday. Found the pattern for this birdy on Ravelry. It is called “Tweet!”. Too cute. A simple design, but it is just what I was looking for. I want to use some for ornaments for my Christmas tree. Yes, thinking ahead here. LOL They’d also be cute made into a garland, as package decorations, and made in a smaller size (perhaps with #10 thread or embroidery floss) would be so cute on a little girl’s barrette! The possibilities are endless, I’m sure.
This first picture shows the bird made as per the instructions.
For the rest of my birdies I added a ch2 picot on the very last stitch to give it somewhat of a beak look.
A group picture of all my little Tweeters. :)
And for this last little Tweeter I made the tail feathers a bit different. Kinda cute, don’t you think? I might make some more like this. :)

Round Granny Doily ~ 1
Sharing this week’s doily with you. So many of the doily patterns out there are gorgeous, but don’t really lend themselves to multiple color changes. And being that I am on a mission to use the thread I currently own, I was looking for a pattern that would use several colors at once. I decided on a Round Granny doily. Many people use this pattern for pillows and such, but I thought why not a doily! I finished it off with a picot edge, which I really like on this doily. :) Finished this one a couple days ago, and am now working on another one. Stay tuned to see which colors I have chosen for the next one. As always, I thank you for looking. Enjoy your day! :D
This is where I got the color inspiration from. My colors don’t always match the exact ones in my chosen inspiration, but they are close enough to suit me. :)

Santa Fe Doily
I’m really having fun making doilies again…can ya tell?! LOL :D I have found a fun new site, Design Seeds, and I am loving it for all the color combo ideas. For this doily, I used this color combo. The coloring is “off” between the pics…taken on different days in different lights, but you’ll get the gist. :)
I even think the back of the doily turned out pretty. :)

Bright Planet Doily
Yay me!! I finally made a doily. I used to crank ‘em out right and left. At this point in time it was July that I last made a doily. Talk about withdrawal!! So Monday afternoon I started this doily and by last evening (Wednesday) I had this one finished. Oh what a wonderful feeling! :D For this doily I used citrus colors. Think lemons, limes, oranges and pink grapefruit! I really like how it turned out, too. :) I have *so much* yarn and thread that I have made a vow to myself to use up as much of it this year that I can. I know I can’t use it all…I just have too much. But I am hoping to put a dent in it. Wish me luck! LOL And, as always, thanks for checking out my blog. I appreciate it!
Wool Eater Wednesday ~ Week 4
Yes…I know…I’m a day late posting my Wool Eater progress. I was hoping to post pics last evening, but it was dark when I was ready to take pics. Decided I’d rather wait until today when I had some natural light to work with. I am happy to report I am finished with my Wool Eater afghan. I have more yarns to use, but not enough of one color to make it the whole way around the afghan at this point. So finished it is! :) It turned out to be a decent sized afghan…big enough for a small adult to cuddle up with. And definitely big enough for my grandchildren to enjoy for a while. :)
