Summer Lace Doily

I finished this doily the other night.  The night before my last post.  I was all excited about finishing this because I just knew what I was going to start on next.  LOL  As you all know, that fell through, but never fear I have another project in mind.  Hope this one turns out more like I am expecting. ;)

My daughter was here last night and she thought my Japanese flowers were pretty.  So apparently I am doing fine with the “all colors” thing.  Now if I could just get myself to not mind tucking ends in so bad.  -sigh-

As always, thanks for checking out my blog.  I appreciate it and enjoy all of the kind comments that are made. :)

  3. You can crochet over the ends. It's very easy. Lay them over the stitches and just continue crocheting.

  8. Hello, I have popped over after seeing your blog featured on Debi's blog. I'm in total awe of your beautiful work. I only just taught myself to crochet in June this year, so I am in total awe of your doilies and hoping one day I'll be able to create something that beautiful as well. I'm just very basic doilies at the moment.

  9. Thank you all for taking the time to check out my blog and for your nice comments. I appreciate you coming over from Debi's, and I appreciate Debi featuring my blog today. :)

Olivia, believe me, whenever it is possible I crochet over those ends. :D It's just that sometimes the pattern doesn't lend itself to being able to do that and properly hide the ends. That's when I get frustrated. ;)

Kim, I've been crocheting for 37 yrs., and have been making doilies for probably 27 of those 37. I'm sure you will create beautiful doilies as well. I know you will. :)

  10. That doily looks very nice, just the sort of thing I would be making if I weren't busy making other stuff.
