Booties & Doilies

I kept busy most of this week working on this pair of doilies.  My son wants them for his living room.  His furniture is green and red, so I thought these would look nice on his end tables.  :)  I used my doily pattern found in this post.  I’m pleased with how they turned out, and I used some more of my partially used balls of thread.  Told you I have a lot of ‘em! ;)  LOL

A couple nights ago I whipped up this pair of booties for my baby grandson. I used this pattern.

    I love the doilies Rita - the colors are very nice for a man's house. Love the little booties too. :)

      Thanks, Debi! :) He actually asked for the doilies, which surprised me. LOL But I was very happy to make them for him. :D When I showed them to him I was quick to point out I didn't make them look too frilly/girls. LOL

    The doilies are great! Sometimes doilies seem a bit "frilly" but these look perfect for a guy and the colors are so bright and cheerful too.

    It's wonderful when also sons appreciate our handmade goods, isn't it? Your doilies are beautiful and you've chosen perfect colors and just the right balance of lace style for a man's home :-). The booties are too cute!!

    The doilies look perfect for a guy's room. It is good that your son raised a requirement for a doily. This will upgrade the doily perception that it is not always frilly thing :)
    Booties are very cute and the color is very lovely:)
