I saw the idea for one of these on Pinterest. My daughter and I both liked the idea. I made her one for Christmas, which I couldn’t post on here until today…for obvious reasons. She loves it, and this picture is one she took of it on her table. A few of the doilies I just made up as I went along. I wanted to make sure I had a variety of sizes. The one on Pinterest was made of vintage doilies, I think, but I thought it would work just as well with new doilies. :)
I love that Rita. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for doilies if I ever go back to the thrift store so I can make one. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debi. :) It really would be a fun thing to make with thrift store doilies. :) Laura asked me a couple months ago if I was ever going to make one for her. Little did she know, I had one in the works for a Christmas present. ;)
DeleteI have also seen this idea on pinterest and thought it as perfect one for my doily stash ( future status of doilies). Your runner is looking very lovely and beautiful!!:)
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! My doilies are always huge, so I would have to make some small ones. Have a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charlotte, and Happy New Year to you, too! :)
DeleteAlso wanted to say that I had to make some smaller doilies for this also. That's why I made some up as I went along..so I'd have the sizes I needed. :)
DeleteBeautiful!!! What a great present!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deni! :)
DeleteI have a daughter who keeps sending me pics from pinterest and this is one she has repeatedly sent me...think she is giving me a hint..yours looks wonderful by the way..and I am sure she was happy to have received it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vikki. :)
