Three New Doilies

As I mentioned in the last post, I was hoping to make a couple doilies while at my daughter’s house.  I managed to do so, and then I made another small doily Monday night! Doilies make me happy!  :D

First on the hook was this Beach Harmony doily from Decorative Crochet #53.  I had to change the last few rows as I ran out of the solid color blue thread. I still like how it turned out though.

Next up was Red Rose Doily.  Obviously, I didn’t do it in that color, but that’s the name of the doily.  LOL  Not sure where this pattern is from, but it’s one in my stash.  I added the rows of white surface crochet for a nice accent.  :)IMG_5066-001

Seaside Doily is the name of this one, and I found the pattern here. I made this one in one night. It is about 6 or so inches across.  Love the colors in this one.  I just used the colors that were shown in the example because I thought it was so pretty.  Used up some leftover threads, too.  :)IMG_5082-002

Crocheted Foods for Adelyn

Miss Adelyn’s 4th birthday is in about a month, so I’ve been busy working on some crocheted foods for part of her present.  If you’d like to see other foods I already made for her, simply click here, here, here, here and here.  :)  I think that covers it all, and hopefully I didn’t give you any duplicate links!  LOL

Adelyn loves berries, so for starters I crocheted some assorted berries.  I used the general idea from here and then pretty much did my own thing.

I thought some egg noodles might be a fun play food. I didn’t use a pattern for this…just chained however many I wanted and then sc back across the chain.  Weaved in ends, and ta-da noodles!  ;)

The fruits are all patterns from the Yummi ‘Gurumi book

And last, but not least…a chocolate bar. Just some simple rows of sc until it reached the length I wanted.

I will be house-sitting this weekend for my daughter’s family, and if all goes well I will have a doily or two to share with you early to mid next week.  Happy weekend and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!

Seastar and Nature’s Bounty

Two more doilies off my hook.  Woohoo!  :D  Thanks to all who check out my blog.  I really do appreciate it.  I try to respond to each comment…which brings me to a question I wanted to ask.  Do you ever return to blog posts to see if your comment has been replied to?  Or do you prefer receiving emails in response to your blog comments?  Just wondering which way is best.  I tend to respond on my blog because not everybody’s email address is available.  But yet I wonder if anybody sees the responses that way.  Opinions, please.  :)

Without further ado, here are my two latest doilies.  The first one is called Seastar, and is from Decorative Crochet issue #53. I did this one in white.

And this one is called Nature’s Bounty and can be found in Leisure Arts Touched by Nature book. This doily is done in white and frosty green.

Two New Doilies

Today I am sharing with you the pictures of my two latest doilies.  Yeppers…I’m on a doily roll again!  Woohoo!  LOL  Crocheting doilies is my absolute favorite thing to do, crochet-wise.  Sure, I like dabbling in other crochet projects…but I always come back to my doilies. <3

Was supposed to be heading to a mammogram appt. about right now, but received a call saying their machine wasn’t working.  So, here I am sitting at my computer.  LOL

Hope you all had a great weekend, and here’s wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

This first doily is called Antique Ceramics, and can be found in Decorative Crochet #71. I did this one in white, royal blue, green and light green.

And this doily is called Cabernet Sauvignon.  The pattern for it can be found in American School of Needlework #1180, Vintage Doilies.  I really love this doily, and the color combos are endless. I made this in one day…probably 2-3 hours time total. Colors used: light pink and pink camo.

Anniversary Bouquet

Today is Rick’s and my 32nd wedding anniversary.  I graduated from high school on June 4th, had wedding rehearsal on June 5th and got married on June 6th.  Quite the whirlwind!  LOL  This bouquet Rick got for me is perfect.  As you probably know I love color…lots of color!  And after 32 yrs. of marriage he finally gets it!  :D

Good at Winning

Good at Winning…that’s the name of this doily I made recently.  I did it in Bridal Blue, although I don’t think the colors are showing up very well.  This doily is from Decorative Crochet #71.  It was such a good feeling to be making a doily again…and I already have another one in the works.  As always, I appreciate you checking out my blog…and leaving a comment if you’re so inclined.  Blessings to you all!
