Lapghan #1

Not sure how many of these I will get done, but my mission is to make some lapghans using my yarn stash/leftover yarns.  This one uses yarn I bought around a yr. ago just because I loved other green and blue afghans I had seen…and wanted to make one too.  No pattern needed for this one.  Just rows of dc, and then a sc border.  Usually when I do stripes, I keep all the stripes the same width.  This time I just made random stripes, and I really like how it turned out. Working on lapghan #2 right now, and hope to be able to post it in a week or two.  Btw, in case you’re wondering why I am doing lapghans instead of full size afghans.  There is a simple answer for that.  LOL Truth is I get bored and impatient making larger afghans, but I find I enjoy the process of making the smaller lapghans.

As always, I thank you for checking out my little corner of blog land, and I appreciate your comments. I tend to respond to them in a reply to the comment left on the blog. :)

  4. It's very pretty and the colors blend together very well ! :) I too feel like making an afghan but the immense task of joining motifs looks very intimidating and also the place where I stay doesn't need woollen blankets, so there is no motivation either.
What is the difference between a lapghan and baby blanket?

    1. Thanks, Preeti. :) There probably isn't much difference between a baby afghan and a lapghan, other than I think this yarn used is a bit heavy for a baby afghan.

  5. I love the colors in this lapghan. Blue and green together have always been my favorite. Can you tell me the finished size.

  6. Beautiful, Rita!! I also like this color combination, it reminds me of the sea. Lapghans really have a nice size, I love putting one over my legs when sitting snugly in my armchair in the evening ;-)
