I Can Finally Tell You!

Hello friends, and thank you for bearing with me while I’ve been quiet.  I finally have permission from my daughter to tell you what I’ve been up to. :D  Grandbaby number 3 is due in December, and I’ve been working on things for the baby! After having a miscarriage last December, they’ve been holding their breath, but so far everything seems to be progressing just fine.  We pray it continues to do so.  As with their other two children, we don’t know the gender until they’re born.  So Gramma Rita makes sure to cover all bases, so to speak.  I have made each baby their own special afghan, and that is one of the things I have been working on for the new grandbaby.  I have also been experimenting with various diaper covers, all of which are purchased patterns.

I found this wonderful bag at Ross’s and just had to buy it to hold all of this gorgeous yarn I am “working” with.  :D  The yarn is being used in no particular order.  There are 17 colors in all, so I make sure that I use all 17 before starting over with all the colors again. Seems to be working.  :)

These diaper covers are not finished yet.  I need to sew the buttons on, but I have plenty of time before that has to be done.

Shortie Sweater for Adelyn

Recently I made this little sweater for Adelyn.  It is a purchased pattern and can be found at this Etsy shop. I made this sweater in three days.  It works up quite quickly and is easy to do.  And judging by Adelyn’s reaction yesterday, I think she loves it!  :)

The only thing I did differently from the pattern is that I made a little loop to go around the button rather than trying to squeeze it through my hdc stitches.

Stopping By to Say Hello

Hello crochet friends!  I have not forgotten about you.  I have been doing some crochet, but I cannot show you what it is just yet.  Hopefully within a week or two I will have a picture to share as well as an explanation.  Please stay tuned.

Here it is May already. Where is this year going to?!  Seems like we just had Christmas!  LOL  I have so many crochet projects in mind, to make this year, and am wondering how I’m going to do them all. Anyhoo, hope all are doing well and managing to get in lots of crochet time.  Blessings to you all!
