Psychedelic Hot Pad

I made this hot pad for my brother-in-law’s birthday present.  I am calling it psychedelic because that was the name of the yarn. :)IMG_7471-2

A Quick & Easy Project

I bought some dishcloths, a while back, that I wanted to put crocheted edgings on.  Got one out the other day, and this is the result.  These are super simple to do.  I usually put whatever edging on them that I want. I always do a base row of sc.  On this one the second row is simply 2 sc, 2 ch in each st around. Quick and easy!  :D  The color is off in the first picture.  The second one is more TTL.

Wool Eater CAL ~ Week 2

I’m rather pleased with my progress on the Wool Eater this week.  As the rounds get bigger, it’ll be slower going, but I am telling myself there is no rush to do this. Yes, I have to tell myself this sometimes.  LOL  ;)

Wool-Eater Wednesday

This basket of yarn will be turned into the Wool-Eater blanket that I am making. In 2012 I’d really like to use up some of my stash, and this will be a start. :)  If all goes according to plan, I will be posting about my wool-eater afghan each Wednesday.  Anybody else joining the wool-eater cal?

Baby Sweater Set

My latest crochet creations…made for a special baby girl due in a couple of months. This sweater pattern is my favorite.  It is one from a Crochet World magazine from 1981.  The pattern is actually for a  hooded sweater, but I have found that I enjoy making a sweater and hat separately.  It is a fun pattern to work with. Just change the colors and edgings and it works up nicely for either a boy or a girl.

There’s a Wool Eater Crochet Along!

And we are invited to join!! Sarah London is having a Wool Eater CAL.  I decided to join…should be fun.  I have already made one blanket, and for Christmas gifts this year I made some potholders.  You can see two of the potholders here in this post.  Between now and next Wednesday I need to decide which colors I want to use.  I am deciding between two schemes.  One being a blue and green color scheme.  And the other being a “use up a bunch of solid leftover yarns” scheme.  Decisions, decisions.  Anyhoo, won’t you join Sarah, me, and all the others in the Wool Eater CAL?!  Should be lots of fun!  Open-mouthed smile  And thanks, Sarah, for inviting all of us to join you. Smile

A Year of Crochet ~ 2011

I think I am missing pics of a few things, but the vast majority of what I crocheted during 2011 is shown in these collages.  I hope to be able to keep my hooks flying as much, if not more, in 2012.  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Rainbow Pencil/Pen Holder

I actually made this in December, but didn’t want to post it until after Christmas.  Reason being it was a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law. Now that he has it, I am able to post about it.  I don’t think he checks my crochet blog, but didn’t want to post about it before Christmas, just in case.  ;)  It’s nothing fancy…just a soup can turned pencil/pen holder via crochet.  :)
