I just have to share this eye candy with you all. This quilt doesn’t belong to me, but that didn’t stop me from photographing it. The quilt belongs to my son-in-law and was created by his paternal grandmother.
Seems to me this kind of handwork just isn’t done, or seen, too much any more. I’ve made a few simple quilts in my time, but nothing as intricate as piecing all of these fabrics together. I *love* this quilt!
Some close up shots of various parts of the quilt. Note how the teensiest, tiniest pieces of fabric did not go to waste.
The binding was even sewn on by hand. :)
Wow - I love it. She sure did alot of embroidery work on it. Very pretty. :)
